National Destinations near Duck Creek UtahDuck Creek Village Utah sits in a ring of National Parks and Monuments. Duck Creek is only a short drive from Cedar Breaks National Monument. Take in breathe taking vistas all the way into Nevada. This area is the best place to see deer and elk on our mountain. Summer evening drives through the monument you can often see large bucks and bulls with their herds. Bryce Canyon is another destination that is nearby. Within an hours drive you can be at Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Otter Creek reservoir. Bryce Canyon has some great trails for hikers of all skill level. Bryce Canyon has similar rock formations to Cedar Breaks National Monument but there is more usable space and ameneties at Bryce. Zion National Park is also close to Duck Creek. Head south on Hwy 89 at Todd's Junction and follow the road until you hit the Zion Turn off. Take this road into the back of the park. There are some great tunnels and cliffs to drive by. I suggest stopping at the visitor center and taking a walk up the stream I always see elk and deer just up the canyon. Zion has some great hikes for all skill levels. If you continue past Bryce Canyon you will encounter the Grand Staircase National Monument, Arches and Canyonlands, Boulder Mountain, and Lake Powell. One of the beautiful sights in this area is Calf Creek Falls pictured to the right. It is a 3 mile hike one way through a nice canyon with a little trout stream running through it. At the end is a gorgeous waterfall and pool. In the summer months this is a great place to cool off after a long hike. And the most popular of all, The Grand Canyon is just a few hours from Duck Creek. Most of these destinations are within a day trip from Duck Creek. There are some great places to hike, bike, and photograph. Come see the beauty this area has to offer for yourself. Go Back<-<-<- |
